Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), It is a non-invasive imaging technology which produces three dimensional detailed anatomical images . MRI scanners use strong magnetic fields and gradients, and radio waves to generate images of the organs of our body.
Note :- Contrast Charge of Rs. 2500 Extra IN Case of MRi Scan With Contrast
MRI stand for Magnetic Resonance Imagining. MRI is a non-invasive Imaging technology which produces 3-dimensional anatomical images. MRI is used for disease detection, diagnosis and treatment.
MRI scan employs powerful magnets. It produce a strong magnetic field that force protons in your body to align with that field.
We know that MRI has strong magnetic fields so patients with implants those containing iron like pacemakers, insulin pumps or any orthopedic implants should not enter in MRI scanner.
During the MRI scan patient will lie on a flatbed that moved into the scanner. Patient should not move entire study. Patient head first or feet first moved into the scanner its depending on which body part being examined.
MRI scanner operate by a radiographer; He operate the scanner by help of the computer. During the study patient can communicate with radiographer by using buzzer which is given to the patient.
During the MRI scanning if patient find any difficulty patient can raise the available alarm and within few second radiographer with available with patient. MRI scans vary from 20 to 30 minutes for a single study. It can increased or multiply by 30 minutes from number of study if studies are more that one.
It is extremely rare that a patient will experience any side effects after MRI scan. Contrast dye can cause nausea, headache or pain at the point of injection in extreme rare condition.
MRI Scan With contrast Study, It is necessary for 4 hrs fasting before scanning.
